FAQ

Legal Questions Asked By

Our Clients

Do You Have Any Legal Questions?

  • How much do you charge?

It depends on the type of case, prior criminal history, and if we end up having to set your case for trial.

  • Do you take payment plans?

While we would prefer to have all services paid for upfront, we understand the financial limitations for some of our clients. We try our best to adjust your payment schedule so that all parties are satisfied. However, we do normally require at least half up front with a short payment schedule thereafter. Again, every situation is different and we will do our best to come to a payment agreement so that we can be of service to you.

  • My case isn't really that hard, can you come down on your prices?

While we understand that you, as the client, know exactly what happened in your situation and you may feel that you shouldn't be in your current situation in the first place, the criminal justice system has procedures that must be followed to resolve your case. There is rarely ever an "easy case." As your DEFENSE attorney, our firm's job is to defend you. We cannot personally dismiss your case, nor can we force the district attorney or judge to do so. While your case may ultimately end in a dismissal, you will have to be patient in getting it resolved.

  • What if the complainant wants to drop the case, will it get dismissed?

Unfortunately, even if the complainant in your case tells the prosecutor that they don't want to move forward with charges, or the complainant files and affidavit of non prosecution, that does not guarantee an immediate dismissal in your case. The district attorney will still evaluate the case to see if they have enough evidence to move forward with prosecuting your case without a willing complainant. However, rest assured, with your patience, and an unwilling complainant, the chances of your case ultimately being dismissed, or you winning at trial, greatly increases.

  • What criminal cases do you take/ have you ever handled "this type of case"?

There is no criminal case that our firm can't handle. We have tried everything from petty theft to capital murder with a high degree of success over the last decade. Rest assured that your case is in good hands.
